Paul Carlan has been working at Durrett & David Risk Management since 2016. Paul’s work experience comes from 15 years in the restaurant and hospitality management field along with 10 years’ experience in the commercial and residential real estate industry. Paul started managing restaurants at Holyfield’s New South Grill fine dining restaurant in Sandy Springs, GA as the GM in 1997. Years later he left that industry and moved to Florida where he became a residential real estate agent specializing in investment properties. As his career progressed he became more involved with commercial real estate.
In 2007, Paul moved back to the Atlanta area and helped start the business brokerage and consulting company Atlanta Restaurant Exchange. There Paul used his background in customer service and real estate to work as a business consultant for small to medium restaurants including national chains such as Baja Fresh. Paul found a passion for consulting.
Growing up in an insurance household eventually brought Paul into the insurance industry. With his background in customer service, real estate, and consulting, working as a consultant with Durrett & David Risk Management has been a great match.
Paul is also currently enrolled in the risk management program at Georgia State University.
